UFO Wednesday
Happy UFO Wednesday! It’s the first one back after the new year, and my resolution is to keep on stitching! I was a very good girl over Christmas and stitched at least once a week. Have you made a crafty resolution?
Do you remember the Christmas tag kit UFO I started working on before Christmas? Well I worked on it over the holidays as well as some other projects and was hoping I’d have at least one finished tag to show you today. Unfortunately, I started to finish it, to find that at some point while it was being moved between one craft drawer and another that the brown in the kit has gone walkabouts. And every tag in the kit uses that brown. Thankfully, Cross Stitcher always include DMC/Anchor keys with their kits so I’m going to order it next time I’m on Sew and So.
I was going to put up a photograph of my almost finished tag, but I’m having issues with uploading that particular image.
I don’t have a lot to say about this UFO simply because of how easy it is to sew. The pack is well designed, the threads high quality, the key easy to read. I have come to adore the Cross Stitcher kits because of their presentation, the little paper envelopes are so much more awesome than the plastic bags and they’re more durable, keeping the kit inside safe and stopping it from getting damaged.
Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance yet to take a photo of my tree with all the “baubles” finished on it, as I was going to put it away, took a photo and then decided to sew some more in bed.
Today I dug out another UFO to start next Wednesday, Mistletoe Kisses, as I had an e-mail back from Ruth Southorn of The World of Cross Stitching in November with a list of the DMC equivalent of colours so I could match up the missing one. I’m looking forward to working on it as it’s a really cute kit!
Here is the kit as I abandoned it when I ran out of the light green. I’m really looking forward to finishing this one as it looks so cute!
