UFO Wednesday
I have to confess that I didn’t get much sewing done on Wednesday. I did however, sew a few days before because I had a feeling I wouldn’t get time. So Tuesday became UFO Wednesday. I did finish backstitching the most horrible backstitched writing ever. Seriously. It looks so untidy and it was murder to do.
Wednesday Morning
I finished another tag this week, this time a sprig of holly. And I started the centre wreath for the bottom row. This project is pretty with the shiny threads, but backstitching tends to come up 3/4 through a square, instead of working with halves. The effect should be nice, but as metallics are untidy, I personally feel that it looks awful. I’m thinking of using the leftover cardboard tags to make a few of these patterns with normal thread. Probably the robin as that’s my favourite.

So how did the rest of you manage with your UFO Wednesday? I hope you got more stitching done than me!
Way to go Vicky. You are doing great. I know the mettalic floss is a pain to work with but your tags do look really nice. Keep up the good work and you will finish them. I confess I like the idea of doing the robin in regular floss because he is just too cute. As for my stitching this Wednesday, I only got about 50 stitches in but at least it was 50 stitches closer to finishing the project some day. 🙂
