Site upgrade

It’s time for one of my rare blog posts! Anyone who knows me knows I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I’m never happy with what I’ve done – which means it’s time for another site overhaul!

Don’t worry, I’m not changing everything right now, I’m still very early in the planning stage. I haven’t been fully happy with the ‘blog’ style for years. It’s clunky and slow to load, as the images have to be large to maintain the quality.

Among other improvements, I’d like to include pictures of the finished project, however I don’t have the time (or money!) to stitch each individual pattern.

This is where you come in! I love seeing the pictures of what you’ve made with my patterns, and I’d love to feature them on the product page. If you have any high quality pictures you’d like to be featured, please email birdiestitching@gmail.com with a link to the pattern that you used. If you’d like to help at a later stage by being a tester, please let me know. (You’ll get early access to new patterns!)

There’s a lot of work to be done, I have a lot to learn as part of this process, but I’ll keep you up to date on the major milestones.

This change does mean that patterns will slow down somewhat. I’ve worked hard to create and queue as many as I can for the upcoming months (there are 12 left for August and 24 for September) so hopefully you won’t miss me too much.
