UFO Wednesday

This week I originally intended on starting another UFO I had, a kit called Mistletoe Kisses. But while I was rummaging in my drawer I found another UFO from last year. More Christmas tags! This one I think I started when I was staying with my boyfriend’s family, and never finished. Thankfully this kit doesn’t involve the use of metallics. It was a gift with Cross Stitcher issue 247, which came out in December 2011.

Here is the only tag I’d started.

Wednesday Morning

I really do like this kit. The colour scheme makes me think rustic. It’s not made of vivid greens, but slightly duller, and I think it’s going to look really good on the plain brown tags provided. I love the string to hang them on that came with the kit, it’s very simple, white with a red stripe, makes me think of a candy cane!

While I’ve only sewn a little on this tag so far, I found it blissfully easy to do after working with the last kit.

Wednesday Evening

Unlike the last kit, which felt like a bit of a chore, I’m really looking forward to continuing with this one.
